Why iBridgeHub

We live in a digitally dominating world. Technology is shaping our culture like never before. Yet over and over again I hear the same question: “how does it affect my business, school, home, laundry, my profession, church, laundry, career, education, my children? How can I leverage on this opportunity to gain a competitive advantage and keep up with trends?”

We exist to bridge the technological gap and divide.  Our vision is to help solve unsolved problems, using innovation by bridging technology for the benefit of the public.

The way we accomplish this is in four steps:

Our History

On October 1st, 2012, the founder of iBridge Hub, Francis Madojemu began the iBridge Hub as an inspiring contemporary open space where young entrepreneurs and innovators in the city of Ibadan can bring their ideas to reality.  iBridge Hub welcomes people from every profession, background and culture are being united by the imagination and drive to pursue enterprising ideas for the world.

Under iBridge Hub, we came up with another initiative iCode – a platform where Children, Youths, Educators and Parents can learn this essential 21st Century skill. Our mission is to give every child in our community the chance to learn to code. It is our aim to equip the next generation with this essential skill.

Our various programmes since inception are monthly fireside chats, Internet Marketing Classes, which were both offline and on-site, ICT and IT trainings, active web and social media management workshop on strategies to help our community grow faster, better, smarter in business, life and ministry. We have also incubated and cultured a number of community projects and co-created events that are geared towards bridging technology for the benefit of the public.

We are facing tremendous times where corruption, recession, poverty are almost ravaging every sector of our economy, but we believe as that “In the midst of devastation, there is an opportunity for innovation.”

Where we are

iBridge Hub is evolving to leverage  the talents of the local tech industry to address some of the needs in the wider community. Social opportunities, we believe, are as important as the economic opportunities created by entrepreneurs and tech talent.

We are putting real problems that the city, local communities, businesses, professions are experiencing on the table and we are inviting and saying we don’t know what to do and we are inviting the tech community to show us how we will solve that.

We are also recognizing existing technology that can be applied to solve problems across local businesses, professions, individuals, schools, and we are creating a bridge for  these communities to know, experience and meet with the appropriate  tech communities and learn how to apply this solve their local problems.

For this to happen, we must build a community of passionate and motivated group of people who want to do something more significant with their gifts than making money.
